“It’ll be worth it, trust me.” Adam’s voice was filled with confidence and a hint of excitement that he couldn’t contain all the way as he grinned back at Jonah, “It’ll be legendary!” “This place better be worth it though or you’ll be paying for gas on the way back.” There was a teasing look in his eye as he spoke, grinning a little as Adam rolled his eyes in response to Jonah’s statement he knew Jonah was only half joking and messing around with him but he also knew that Jonah would make him pay for more amount of petrol then he normally did if it turned out to be an absolute waste and mess of time. He trusted him, he just hoped that it wouldn’t be a complete waste of petrol. “There’s places to go in Michigan.” Jonah countered, glancing over at Adam before shrugging to himself, deciding to stop questioning Adam’s motives for choosing a place that takes sixteen hours to get to. “Because,” Adam sat up a little straighter in his seat, cracking his knuckles with a quiet click before speaking again, “There’s places to go.” “Why couldn’t we have gone somewhere closer? Like Michigan or Minnesota?” The place wasn’t even all that special in Jonah’s eyes, it was just another city but still, it was hopefully less Alternate infested than Bythorne and Mandela.

“Why New York?” Jonah questioned for the sixth time in the last hour, still not understanding why they had to go to New York when it was over half a day away. The rare sound of other cars driving past them on the country lanes were a light in the tunnel of silence, almost literally, with the cars’ overexraggratingly bright headlights almost blinding the pair every time they came into vision.

Quiet music and the familiar beeps and boops of the GPS alongside with the occasional munching of snacks were the only real and continuous noises inside the vehicle. Adam made the car journey a lot more frightening for Jonah as he went too fast or too slow or turned corners like he was on a racing track, almost crashing into at least one other person and almost giving Jonah a heart attack or just didn’t completely know what he was doing.
BENDY AND THE INK MACHINE ALICE ANGEL IN WINDOW WINDOWS
Most of the car journey was as silent as it could be with the pair taking it in turns to drive the car while the other slept or fiddled around with the car windows (until their partner had enough of the continuous opening and closing of the windows and told them to stop). That was the first problem, the journey, from the pair being fidgety to the car running out of petrol on multiple occasions (and leaving a rather noticeable hole in the younger two’s wallet) to them just being irritable and cranky, to finally the pair worrying that Sarah wouldn’t make it (she had decided to go a different way and make the journey another way)-the journey was not the highlight of the trip, far from it in fact. It was supposed to be a completely normal trip, just Jonah, Adam and Sarah, the three members of BPS and the sixteen hour drive to New York. Stats: Published: Updated: Words: 7971 Chapters: 4/?
